It all started here...

It's not that this is an impromptu decision. I've always toyed with the idea of becoming a vegetarian. I don't have a torrid love affair with meat or anything. I do like it. I like a good chicken breast, a hamburger and even a steak once and awhile..provided it is well done! I really thought I couldn't live without it.
Then I read this:

It's like a light bulb went off. I devoured this book and learned a lot. For now it is my bible. Along with several other resources and a nutritionist. I'm sure I'll refer back to it often. It's a fabulous read..and a quick one! It's been on the New York Best Seller's List for a long time too.
I'm not about to preach and tell anyone what they should and should not do.
I'm not like that.
I'm not even sure I can do it. But I want to. I want to at least try. There are so many reasons beyond possibly loosing weight and being healthier. Look beyond that to the environment and the animals.
Honestly, reading it I was ready to become a vegan right then and there, but I have to be realistic. Rome wasn't built in a day. Baby steps. No meat first. Take it day by day for the first 30 days.
So here goes 30 days of becoming a vegetarian..and the journal to try to keep me sane and give me perspective.
